From Automobiles to Software Development - An Introduction to Kanban

“The first rule of any technology used in a business is that automation applied to an efficient operation will magnify the efficiency. The second is that automation applied to an inefficient operation will magnify the inefficiency.”
- Bill Gates
Efficiency Is a buzz word of today’s technology. The more we focus on this state better would be performance taking the business to greater heights. This is where Kanban, a lean approach to agile development has aided the users into better arena.

Fig 2 properties and effects of Kanban
“Why?” is the phrase used quite often whenever a new technology takes its first step into the real world. The answer to this “why??” is a set of value-added functions the system assures to provide. Transparency in their doings, removing the obstacle by scanning the holdups, enhancing team communication, empowering the team to handle the process and believing in team work are the functions accompanied with the topic of interest.

Working of the system in Industrial Division:
The developer Taiichi Ohno, industrial engineer at Toyota visualized the doings in the supermarket to the working of the productions sectors. The initiative was taken to setup self-stocking techniques in an industrial environment. A detailed survey of the customer demands is a key to bring the concept into play. A thought given to the survey report suggests the demand-forecast to be proposed for the working of the scheme. Once the demand number is finalized the count of cards to be used by each subdivision is calculated. This count remains a constant unless there is any variation in customer demand and helps preserve the upper limit of work-in-progress for that particular instant of time.
In the created demand-driven system the manual kanban card as portrayed in the fig 3 is made to travel through the supply chain.  The card signals the outcome of the former phase – depletion of products, part or inventory. This insufficiency testimony aids in restocking of the deficient. The kanban cards are physically attached before dispatching the part. This card is later collected and reused to keep a count on the cards of subdivision. This mechanism suggests next division in the process cycle to use the processed part when necessary. This is how the system is made useful in a manufacture and assembly section like automobile, inventory, transportation and essay to name a few.

Working of the system in software
A talk about the software or its products…differ every day, use of different functionalities leads to something new and dissimilar from the previous one.  Software development differs from any manufacturing unit in its creation. Production is an approach taken in software world which assures high chances of succeeding while development is an approach resulting in lower scale in the path of success. To bring the thought into play in the computer world, email notifications have replaced manual card-driven techniques. Indication of depletion of the component is followed by “kanban trigger” generated either manually or automatically by the system. The trigger message defines the predefined quantity with time interval to be posted to the supplier. An empty cart conveys the user to refill the cart.
“Coming together is the beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success”
- Henry Ford
One of the terms used in any project development is “Team work”. To proceed with the thought, the status of the project should be kept transparent from other players of the project. Many verbs attached to the status- in progress, tested, accepted, blocked etc. imparts better understanding of the outcome. Posting the status of the work as portrayed in the fig 4 helps in maintaining pace with each other.
“Divide each difficulty into as many parts as is feasible and necessary to resolve it”
- Rene Descartes
A project taken up is broken down into multiple tasks. The development uses karban in two levels. A project level depicts the user story and team level which represents the task to be undertaken. The pull string can be activated by enabling the downstream process to signal the upstream process to begin with it’s working.

Reaching the end of the study, technologies ascend with quality and performance has to be its measuring yardstick. To add values to the terms, gaining better control over the system acts as a key. The solution to wide spread process-control varying from manufacturing industrial sectors like automobiles to software development is keyed as “Kanban”. For anyone who is still finding it difficult to understand Kanban difficult there are always options like Information science assignment help, to make their life easier. The system aids the user in gaining better control over the process and providing the other players of the team a visual view of the process status. The system builds better team enhancing the communication among them and increasing the trust in one another.

Why half of US parents can't help their kids with homework

We have always seen queries from parents who are worried about their kid's homework and assignments.Recent studies show that 95% of students needs help for their homework for which they have only these options to take help. They can be his/her parents, friends, teachers or Google. In countries like USA, Australia etc due to extreme busy schedule and individualism even parents find it tough to help the students. In most of the families both parents are working leaving only the option of friends, teachers and Google open for the student. In a classroom structure it becomes difficult to even get a personalized help from teachers and friends. So the only option left for students is to go to Google and search for someone who can help them with their assignments.

In a recent study by www.famlit.org it is clearly shown that 50% parents are facing difficulty in helping their kids with their homework.

Home work help to help kids

It was surprising to see that majority of students said that they do not understand the study material which is provided by the universities. Around 30 percent said that their kids do not want help from their parents and around 20 percent said that they are too busy in their life to help their kids. It is disappointing for the future of USA but thankfully their are some good essay help companies which can help the kids to excel in their assignments.

Hope you liked this report.

What happens to an egg in microwave ?

In this blog we are going to share something new which we did this weekend while doing a physics assignment in thermodynamics for a student from Sydney. The topic dealt in writing a report on laws of thermodynamic taking examples from day to day life. Along with giving other examples we thought of giving a real time example after experimenting it in our office in Queensland. Egg is one of the best examples which is an exception to the fact that on applying heat, solids changes liquid and on taking out heat (i.e. cooling) converts liquids into solids. On a contrary an egg solidifies when heat is applied to it. While writing on the same one of our Physics expert, Ryan raised an question saying “What will happen if we put the egg in a microwave? ” and we all in the office burst into laughter for his inquisitiveness but since as an Expert Assignment Help culture we never say no to experiments, we thought of trying it out. You can look at the pictures below and you will understand what happened….We kept the kept in a bone china glass (make sure the bone china glass is microwavable) and kept it for 30 seconds. The microwave makes a little big of shivering sound because of the egg moving a little bit. When we took it out after 30 seconds we could not see any difference  so we kept it inside the microwave for 1 more minute. After 40 seconds we heard a blast inside the microwave and we all were taken aback by the sound. When we opened the microwave we found that the egg has turned into pieces and the all microwave was smelly and dirty. But the exciting part was the yellow and white of the egg were cooked properly and where worth eating. So the conclusion is an egg can be cooked just by keeping inside a microwave but you must keep it to approximately 1 minute and not more.

Top10 things you must check before submitting the essay

top10 essay tipsJust think as a student, as to why you are writing an essay? Of course, you do not have a choice or say in this matter as you have been asked by your teacher or faculty to do so. Now, when one as a student has to write an essay, it is important that we do it right. Having said that, the main aim changes to incorporate all points and concepts that the marker or evaluator is expecting from it. It is like when you are thirsty, no deal of packaged Coke can substitute water. So we are checking all points in the order of their importance and impact on your grade.

Check 1: Wait. The longer the better.

But as experts say wait for at least 30 minutes, and engage in some activity that makes you forget what you wrote in your essay. This is because our brain overlooks all those details which it thinks it already knows. To do a good proof reading one must not recall what he/she wrote. Alternatively, you can take the help of your friend to do it for you. There are multiple online assignment help providing vendors who can review it for you too and it can be useful especially you have very less time to carry out the review of your essay or assignment.

I cnduo’t bvleiee taht I culod aulaclty uesdtannrd waht I was rdnaieg.

This is reason why we can still read what we are reading and an error can easily be missed in your review. Also if possible, carry out each step as a separate task separated with a certain time interval or alternate task. What I personally do is proofread two articles at the same time in an alternating order.

Check 2: Do this review activity in a quiet place without distractions

Never proofread an essay in a hurry or while multi-tasking by watching TV or talking to somebody. This works in our disadvantage as our brain is not able to dig into carefully to find our own faults.

Check 3: Check your typical mistakes first

It is very important to check each of the mistakes pointed by your evaluator in the past. If needed, it is wise to get those papers out and read them too. Not only has it taken away your mind from the article in question it also reiterates the mistakes which are most likely to occur in the essay being reviewed.

Check 4: Read each sentence loudly in the opposite direction

Our brain is used to expect a certain sentence as we read through it and we would not be able to read it in the correct manner. Read these sentences and words loudly as this increases your attention to each detail in the essay.

Check 5: Is the topic and word count correct.

No matter how dumb this sounds but under stress students can make silly mistakes in front of their eyes. Always name the file in the name of the title so that you do not send the incorrect word or PDF document instead. To check the word count go to the lower bottom of Word document and check what it says.

If you would like to count the words of specific section then select the section using your mouse and check the same place again for a revised word count. Observe the change in the screen-shot below.

Check 6: Open the marking criteria shared with you by the faculty and cross-check each section.

Read your own essay from top to bottom in one go. Once done check for the marking criteria and mark those which you have already catered to. In case some section is unintentionally left out, do squeeze in a few lines in the most appropriate place. Each marking criteria section should be easily visible as sub-headings or as separate paragraphs. If that’s not the case, then segregate each section adequately so that the evaluator is impressed by making it easier for him/her to evaluate the paper.

Check 7: Break down too long sentences into smaller ones

Break down any sentence with more than one “and” or conjunctives and specify them as simpler and precise to the point sentences with at max 10 to 14 words in a sentence. Crisper sentences send across a crispy thought process which easier to communicate to the evaluator.

Check 8: Check for the correct referencing style being used

Check for each internal reference and the format in which it has been specified. Also check the bibliography. Do note that incomplete information about the sources like date, publisher, etc. is too considered as incorrect referencing. Make sure all ideas used from other sources are paraphrased properly and the original form looks entirely different from the one you are submitting.

Check 9: Double-check all the facts and figures

It is very important to check the correct units being specified and the usage of comma and full stop as punctuations. Also check currencies and short forms and units. Do reference each figure for sure.

Check 10: Spelling and grammar check

Use the handy Microsoft word grammar checker which is an inbuilt feature. Look for zigzag underlines under sentences or words and right click on those words or phrases to check the alternatives.

My experience says that by catering to these points itself, most of the students who fail the evaluation can pass and others can increase their marks or points by around at least 20%. When this is carried out over a longer period of time, one can easily stop making the same mistakes you made earlier and can even submit essays without a review. Do write to us if you think there is any point which you feel helped you review and proofread your essay or assignment better in practical.
